| A Saturday in San Francisco Florence appeared at the San Francisco/Bay Area Book Festival on Saturday November 7th. She was there to do a cooking demonstration, and to sign copies of her new cookbook "Florence Henderson's Short-Cut Cooking." Florence was funny and informative, as you can tell in the RealVideo clip that we've prepared for you. If you have the RealPlayer installed, then click here to see Flo Cook. | Florence was a little nervous, because even though she has cooked hundreds of times in front of the camera for her cooking shows, she had never done a 'Live' cooking demonstration before! Well, she didn't need to worry - she was fantastic. Even though the stove stopped working, and we all had to "imagine" that the chicken was cooking, she pulled it off with humor and grace. (Luckily there was already a finished recipe to show!) She said she felt like Madonna, because of her headset microphone. And she gave many short-cut cooking tips, and a lot of personal cooking anecdotes. | ![]() |

After the cooking demo, Florence signed cookbooks for everyone who bought a copy. The people from the Book Fair were thrilled - she sold out! Florence took the time to talk with fans, have her photo taken, and to personally autograph each cookbook.
Here's the recipe that Florence prepared at the Book Fair - Chicken Piccata. It's easy, and delicious. Give it a try! And remember to buy the cookbook! |
